Dr. Mayer-Barber’s research areas at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases include cellular mechanisms of inflammation in vivo, inflammatory cytokine and lipid mediator networks in host resistance, the role of innate effector cells in host resistance to tuberculosis and the role of inflammation in host-directed therapies and vaccine-adjuvant design.
